I needed help cleaning out a loved ones house of very large heavy furniture, with a four man crew they had everything out within 90mins. They were very respectful, kind and we even had a few laughs. Great service! They were running a little late due to the city dump site being backed up and called ahead of time to let me know they'll arrive a little later than previously scheduled. I had a lot of stuff to remove (an entire truckload) and they had it on their truck in no time at all! They use the square app so you can pay by credit card right on site. The Longest Day began with office hours at our veterinary office until noon Saturday and then a 4 hour drive to Buffalo to help our youngest daughter and husband and 3 children load their lives and memories into a truck and move to our neck of the woods. I stopped in Syracuse to pick up our son James and his two boys to help. Our son Brent left early this morning with his children and another grandson, Coy, to help and by the time we arrived at 4:30, the house was loaded and the truck was filled to the brim. There remained a couple of couches, a box spring mattress and some other items plus trash. We loaded up the heavy couches and box spring and I hurried to a local donation center. They would accept the couch but not the mattresses. I returned to base with the sad news. There was no possible way we could get the remaining things plus trash all into my pickup. The walk through for the house was the next day, Sunday, with a closing to follow which meant that we would need to drive everything home to Eaton (4 hours away) unload my pickup and return for the rest. It was 7 PM, Saturday evening. I though of our predicament. It had been a long day for everyone, and in spite of all that had been accomplished, we felt the discouragement of defeat. We called to see if we could rent another tailor to tow with my truck but everything by now was closed. ‘There has to be a way.’ I thought. In my career with animals and some of the many predicaments they get themselves into, and as a father of five children who also have gotten themselves into unimaginable predicaments in the past and as a normal American boy who has himself done some ill advised things that left me in predicaments it was an exercise in thought I am not unfamiliar with. Brainstorming. I looked up on my phone and called a local trash removal company. The soonest they could come was Monday. I called another knowing that at 7:30 PM on a Saturday, I was wasting my time. But maybe not. If I could be ready to roll at any hour of any day for an animal emergency for the last 40 years, then surely there must be someone in the trash removal business that would do the same. As in times past when I searched for a way, I was not disappointed. I called Eric, pictured here from Big Trash Removal next and found a kindred spirit. I explained our predicament and without hesitation he said he would be there in an hour and would take everything left. We were elated. Garrett headed out with the moving van, James headed out with his boys and my truck full to overflowing, for their home in Syracuse and I waited for the big trash truck, to help load and pay for the removal and then to drive Garrett’s car home. The truck arrived on time and in 10 minutes we loaded up and were on our way. It was 9 PM. I expressed my thanks to Eric and told him what a life saver he was. It was all I could do to keep from giving him a big bear hug. What a remarkable young man, to come on a Saturday night at a moments notice, to our rescue. rescue. I told him that as a veterinarian I have spent a lifetime being ready to roll and how grateful I was to him for being of like mind. The most impressive thing about Eric was his smile. He wore it faithfully and uttered not a single word of complaint. He was truly a fellow brother in the family of humankind. I stopped for numerous naps and to stretch my legs in the cold air and arrived home to Eden at 2 AM. In spite of the long ordeal, I felt above all, an overwhelming sense of gratitude. This company was great reasonable prices and on time. They removed old furniture and such from an apartment someone lived in for over 20 years. They completed the task in no time in like 2 hours which would have taken me a week Lol. We called Eric to help us handle the very hard job of cleaning out a house after the passing of a loved one. He was able to do the job right away. He and his team were very nice and professional. They worked very hard and quickly helped us empty the whole house. I can't say how much of a relief it was to have them do the job so efficiently and kindly. Eric Johnson and his two man crew removed 13 years of trash, dead appliances and no longer useful furniture from our North Buffalo home yesterday in less than 90 minutes. All three men were professional, polite and respectful of us, our house and each other. Our experience with contractors over the years has sometimes been difficult. Mr. Johnson answered phone calls, showed up when expected, and did the job. He and his crew worked together efficiently and quickly. There was no shouting, no profanity, no unease about having them on our property. It's unfortunate that I even have to point that out, but I know that people reading this will know exactly why I mentioned this. Eric Johnson and his crew are the best! Not only are they the most affordable of the trash removal services in Buffalo, they are a pleasure to do business with! Called Eric on a Sunday, was able to schedule a Monday afternoon appointment. I called on Monday morning to see if he could come an hour earlier that afternoon and he was completely accommodating. Eric and his assistant showed up at 4:00 on the dot and hauled away the equivalent of a 10-ft dumpster from the attic, basement, and 2 floors in between, in a little over an hour, and were cheerful and professional every step of the way. Took care not to bump the walls and cleaned up the stair rail afterward. They quote a price up front based on volume and stick to it. Cost literally half what the others would have charged (Eric has a truck that is twice the size of the others but he charges the same rates per 1/4, 1/2, etc of a truck). They donate and recycle what isn't trash, too. I called the Friday before Memorial Day weekend for the pick-up of a couple of large items from my business. I was advised that someone should be able to complete the job on Saturday. The work was completed as promised, I was able to pay by credit card over the phone and I received a receipt via email shortly thereafter. The entire process was professional, easy and seamless. Excellent relay. Came right on time and all. But I was surprised there was only one guy, which was the owner. I doubted I could help him move the couch out of the door for which I was someone with no significant strength whatsoever. But it could be due to hasty appointment we made the next day or we just didn't think of it since it was only a couch I was dying to get rid of. Luckily, a friend of relative already stopped by and helped. I gave a 5 star because the job was done, the price was reasonable (a lot less compared to some of the quotes I've received from other companies!), and the owner was super friendly.
